Cotton Traders Spring 2025

Spring has Sprung and Cotton Traders have once again teamed up with the fabulous Alex Jones to pick out some of the key items for Spring/Summer 2025. As ever, the collection is full of classic and timeless pieces, including stylish knits and coats to keep you warm yet fashionable in the changeable Spring weather when it can be very warm during the day, but there can be winds, and cool mornings and cold nights.

The ethos of the new collection is all around the messaging The Style of Your Life’ and ‘Level Up Your Style’. This is all about elevating your everyday style to a new level, casual does not have to mean basic. The new collections are full of style and colour and can easily be dressed up, or dressed down and can be pieces that are very versatile in the many ways you can style them.

Here are a couple of my faves from Spring/Summer 2025.

Stripe Textured Button Cardigan

The Stripe Textured Button Cardigan brings nautical styling, with just a touch of finesse, to your Spring wardrobes. Elegant cardigans that can take the place of a jacket are a big news story this Spring, and this stripy beauty is an absolute classic example.

I love the chunkiness of the knit, which is enough to keep you warm, but won’t add bulk. The stripy design is such a classic look, and the gold buttons add a luxurious edge to this cardigan, giving it almost a tailored styling.

This style also comes in a plain red design if stripes are not your thing, just add jeans and a camisole, or a crisp white shirt for a smart and elegant daytime look. This cardigan could also work well over a little black dress, or worn with a denim skirt and t-shirt as I have styled it.

Print Knee-Length Skirt

If you ‘holy grail’ when it comes to skirts and dresses are pockets, then this cute and flirty skirt is the one for you. With a knee length, almost 1980’s styling, part boho, part ra-ra, and with a half elasticated waistband, the print knee length skirt is both super lovely and super comfy. I love the fact that this is a pull on style, and the print is simply gorgeous, in a lovely fuchsia print colourway that will work with both classic black and white.

This skirt works well with opaque tights on colder days, like I have shown below, and these also give it a more evening feel. On warmer days, just add a pair of white or tan sandals, and a simple vest or tee, and you are all set to go. This is an absolute essential for your Spring/Summer wardrobe.
