Cushion styles for Spring
Today I’m continuing my quest to suggest updates for your home for spring which won’t breakthe bank, and this time I am turning my attention to cushions. I am a great fan of cushions, both in terms of comfort and how they can change the look of a room, or, more specifically a piece of furniture. Cushions are a relatively affordable way to update a tired sofa, dress a plain bedset or change a colour scheme.
For Spring, House of Fraser have a great range of cushions that range from scatter cushions for the living room, both in plain and patterned colour ways so that you can add colour, texture of pattern to your sofa, and also more luxurious fur and sequined varieties that will help turn any bedroom into a movie star style boudoir. There is an amazing offer on a range of plain cotton cushions from Linea, these usually cost £20 each but are currently being virtually given away in a special offer where you can get four for £25. (I’ve gone for the red colour way to contrast against a black leather sofa and they are amazing quality.)
If you are looking for a little bit of decadence, you will love the Biba designs which feature metallics, velvet, opulent, Art Deco style prints and patterns, and a smattering of Biba’s iconic black and gold colourways. There is more glamour in Kylie Minogue’s homeware collection, which is as glittery and pretty as the woman herself. Bright 70s style retro patterns are also represented in the designs of the ever-popular Orla Kiely, whilst Ted Baker offers beautiful, water colour floral prints that would look great in a bedroom due to its stunning pastel shades.
Are you a fan of cushions, or are you the sort of person who kicks them off the bed and throws them off the sofa? Do you prefer plain or patterned? Leave a comment and let me know.

I love the Kylie Minogue cushion and the Ted Baker one. House of Fraser have some great home products on their website.

I love cushions but once bought I tend to keep them in the same place for years, rather than switch or buy new ones. You are right though, a new cushion can do wonders to transform the look of a room. Love the Biba one here – very retro! Tx
