Daisy Ridley – new star (wars) style icon

You may not be familiar with the name Daisy Ridley yet, but give it a week and this is going to be the girl that everyone is talking about. Daisy is, of course, one of the stars of the movie that is already breaking box office records everywhere – ‘Star Wars – The Force Awakens’, playing Rey, who is described intriguingly as ”  a resilient survivor, a scavenger toughened by a lifetime of dealing with the cutthroats of the harsh desert world of Jakku.” But even if Star Wars is not your thing, Daisy has been impressing in areas other than great acting. In short, she is a red carpet natural.

Daisy just exudes star style, whether it be on the red carpet accompanied by a storm trooper, or off duty in a beautiful fluffy coat. She looks great in all shades of blue – this seems to be a bit of a go to shade for Daisy, and has the same balance that makes Emma Watson such an interesting red carpet dresser – she can do sophistication, but remembers her age and actually has fun with fashion.

Daisy always seems to get it right, whether it be by adding coloured shoes to an all black outfit, or actually doing the sometimes frowned upon matchy-matchy style in different shades of blue. I totally love how she has alternated her red carpet appearances in white and black, her appearance on ‘the dark side’ last night was nothing short of stunning.

Remember the name, remember the face and steal the look, Daisy Ridley is definitely one to watch in 2016.
