Dream Honeymoon Destinations: Thailand
For many, the best thing about getting married is the honeymoon that follows. The stress and tension of organising your big day are now over, and you can concentrate on having a rest and recoup with the person of your dreams in a beautiful location.
I have been thinking of some of my own favourite destinations that would also work perfectly for a honeymoon and I have to say one place that I love that would also work perfectly in terms of relaxation, sightseeing and culture is Thailand.
Thailand
Thailand is often called the Land of Smiles because it is such a beautifully warm and friendly country. It is also somewhere that is perfect for a honeymoon as you can find lots of Thailand all inclusive offers that mean that you can eat like kings and queens and indulge in plenty of exotic cocktails. There are plenty of activities to do in Thailand and there is something for everybody, spend a night in the jungle or on the rive at Khao Sok, mooch around the cultural sites and check out Bangkoks many Buddhist temples or join Five Star Thailand Tours on one of their Phi Phi Island Island Boat Tours from Krabi, or Phuket. Whatever you choose to do, luxury is always affordable in the ‘land of smiles’.
My own favourite place in Thailand is Phuket. The beaches are made up of the sort of golden sand that indicates Paradise, whilst the calm waters are lovely for sailing and watersports. Phuket is a shoppers paradise, with department style stores in Phuket town, and lots of street markets where bhatering is the key to getting a real bargain – look for batak prints, wooden carvings and handmade suits which cost a fraction of what you would pay in the UK. You can look online to find tourist secrets things to do in Asia, and should be able to find some great things to do in Phuket that are off the beaten track.
You can explore the island by Tuk Tuk – agree a price with the driver first and tell them what you would like to see and they will take you to all the best places, the private beaches, exotic temples and small villages. Make sure you visit Patong and the Bangla Road where you will see the famous ladyboys, the Thai boxing and snake charming, a definite experience that will help to make your visit unforgettable.
Food is another plus point for Thailand, especially when it comes to fabulous seafood dishes. Try to avoid the big restaurants on the front and look at where the locals eat – these places often offer the best food choices.
Thailand is a wonderful place that needs to be seen in detail, and once you go, you will want to go again and again.
