Reviewed: Vivaia Margot Mary Janes
I love shoes. Shoes of any variety. High heels, kitten heels, flats, wedges…you name it and I will wear them. I’ve even had a shoe related accident when I got a heel caught in the seat belt as I tried to get out the car, breaking 3 bones in my foot. My dedication to pretty footwear knows no bounds.
One brand of footwear that I adore is VIVAIA. ViVAIA is all about style, sustainability and comfort when it comes to footwear, they incedibly create their shoes from recycled plastic bottles so they are both eco friendly and vegan friendly. As they say .Eco-friendly is the new chic.’
I have reviewed Vivaia shoes before a few years ago, and can honestly say their shoes are brilliantly long lasting, as I am still wearing those shoes now. (You can read that review here). Today I am reviewing what might just be my favourite style of shoe, a pair of Mary Janes. Mary Janes, beloved of Carrie Bradshaw, are just lovely, a really cute style that look great with a wide range of outfits. The Vivaia Margot Mary Janes are a flat version, and I opted for the red colourway, which have a certain resemblance to the shoe worn by Dorothy in a rather famous, iconic film.
The Margot Mary Janes
The Margot Mary Janes from Vivaia are truly fabulous. I wear a size 5 (38) and can say these are true to size. The bottom is both sturdy enough that you are not feeling every bit of debris on the pavement, but also flexible enough to be the most comfortable shoe you will wear – they move and grow with your feet.
The stretchy strap across the front is also comfortable due to the elasticity, and is adjustable, meaning that, if, like me, you struggle with your feet swelling when they are hot and tired (I’m diabetic, so this can be an issue), they are easy to adjust for comfort. I find these to be so comfortable, you can literally wear them all day long without your feet hurting. This is due to the cushioned insoles that almost sponge your feet in comfort.
The Margot Mary Janes come in a wide range of colours, including Chanel like two tone shades. I love the red, but also have my eye on the green shade, whilst the black could be a perfect school shoe for a fashion conscious teen. The neutral shades are a wardrobe must have that will go with literally any outfit in your wardrobe and will work across the year perfectly.
