Vivaia – Eco Friendly Footwear

I have a bit of a shoe addiction. I just love to buy shoes of all kinds, new trainers, French Sole flats, heels – even if I can’t walk in them. My love of pretty shoes knows no bounds. But recently I have discovered a shoe brand who not only create the most beautiful shoes, but are also concerned with sustainability and waste. That brand is Vivaia shoes, and their shoes are just incredible.

The shoes that I so love are the Melody 2.0, which are described as ‘running heels’, and I can confirm you would most definitely be able to run for a bus in them – they are just so flexible and comfortable, with a heel that looks elegant and glamorous, but is also easy to wear all day long without the feet aching.

These are a square toed heeled shoe. I love a square toe, as it makes them a perfect day to night shoe. These would be easy to wear for work with more formal wear, but they look equally great at the weekend teamed with a skirt (as I have done), or even worn with jeans and a blazer for the ultimate, smart casual look. The block heel is easy to walk in, whilst the shoes also have hidden comfort, with a comfortable insole, and padded backs, the soft knit uppers make them soft and stretchy, which means they are able to soothe your feet and stretch with them if your feet or prone to swelling.

These are shoes that not only look great, but are also eco friendly. Each shoe is made from recycled material (6 plastic plastic bottles) and also has recycled packaging. These are not machine washable (but many Vivaia designs are), but can be cleaned with a clean cloth to remove any stains.
