Friday Fashion: F&F Clothing

It’s not mid May, and that means we are most definitely in dress season. Sandals, espadrilles and flip flops are all reappearing on the feet, and these are most definitely best when worn with a pretty summer dress. A quick supermarket trip to Tesco showed me that this season, F&F Clothing have certainly upped their dress game, with a range of beautifully coloured designs in a whole host of styles that means that, whatever your dress style, there’s something to suit your taste.

As with most supermarket style, F&F Clothing is of a decent quality, and yet is very affordable, making it very difficult to just come out with that bottle of milk you went in for. Most of the dresses featured here come in at less than £25, and although there is an emphasis on fashion trends, these dresses are timeless enough to take you from this Summer and onto next.

So what have we got? There are classic, elegant shirt dresses that come in a linen like fabric which make them cool and comfortable to wear as workwear. Boho sleeves and ruching are evident in another style, with glorious citrus floral prints bringing that trend right up to date. Aztec style prints work really well on shorter, tunic style dresses which look so great with this year’s chunky sandals, whether they are worn with a sunhat and sunnies for sightseeing, or thrown over your swimsuit after a day at the beach.

Checks and stripes never really go away, they work every single summer, always looking crisp and fresh. These Summer, they are resplendent in candy stripe colours that make me think of those retro fruit salad sweets I loved as a child. The spaghetti strap styles are great for holiday dresses, whether worn for day or evening wear – they really will work for both.
