Friday Fashion: Lace Patchwork White Blouse From Rotita

A simple white blouse or shirt worn with a dark denim is a bit of a no brainer when it comes to classic style. It is always a good look. But, if like me, you are curvier, particularly in the boob department, then that chic, classic look can be compromised by the buttons that pucker and gape open, making that sharp look seem more slovenly and unkempt. The lace patchwork white blouse from Rotita is the absolute answer to the puckering button problem.

The Lace Patchwork blouse has a peasant, slightly boho feel to it. It has the appearance of a buttoned blouse, but this is actually a false detail – the buttons do not open and hence no chance of puckering. The blouse also makes wonderful use of lace to lift the style from the casual to the more dressy, with lace panels across the shoulders, around the cuffs and most noticeably, on the hemline.

This blouse is slightly oversized hence the boho feel to it, but I think it could be easily worn tucked into a skinnier jean and worn with a heel for a more sophisticated look. I also think it would be glorious on a sunny day with denim shorts and wedges. I am wearing this in the larger size XL (which is 18-20) as I wanted it to have an oversized look, but I think it is true to size and I could’ve opted for a size L (14-16) for a slightly more fitted look.

The blouse is ever so slightly sheer, made from 55% polyester and 45% nylon, so you may chose to wear a vest or a camisole underneath it. The composition of the fabric also makes this a hand wash piece, although I will machine wash on a low delicates setting.

This is a super pretty blouse that will be great during Summer, and could then be worn with black peg trousers in Winter and would look fabulous.
