Hawkins Bazaar – Toys for Little boys and big boys
It’s around this time of year that I start to plan Christmas. Yes, it may seem a little early to some (and a little late to others!) but due to having Joe’s birthday very close to Christmas, along with two family wedding anniversaries, I find a little forward planning works well for me. Part of that planning involves writing about Christmas present ideas for Joe and Pete, and while Joe used to be very easy, now he is solely into football, this is not the case. And, as for Pete, what do you buy the man who seems to have everything?
Hawkins Bazaar is actually an answer to those questions. In its own words, it is the home of “great gift ideas, geeky gadgets, terrific toys and everything else that makes a perfect present!” This is the store for people who want to avoid the usual socks, aftershave and woolly jumper route, and get a present that will excite, delight and be genuinely memorable. Their items are quirky, ranging from cool gadgets to the latest Star Wars memorabilia, with an amazing range of remote controlled helicopters that I have already added to both Pete and Joe’s lists (I can see them having such fun flying them around the living room on Christmas morning.)
Other gifts that have caught my eye includes a remote controlled inflatable Minion (LOVE!), a gorgeous Roald Dahl puppet theatre, a Star Wars Droid Maintenance Manuel and Astronaut Food Neapolitan Ice Cream (which is possibly the strangest thing I have ever seen in my life, but is now definitely on the list.)
Even if you have the hardest person in the world to buy for, the gifts offered by Hawkins Bazaar really do tick every box, from the silly to the beauty of traditional Hornby train sets. I found so many ideas on there for my stubborn boys, I’m sure you would to. But if you do need a little further inspiration, walk this way…
