How to Adding Luxurious Touches to Your Home

There are many ways you can add a touch of luxury to your home without having to break the bank. Glittery sparkle in the form of your light fittings, luxury carpets that you feel your feet are literally sinking into, and accessories that are both glamorous and elegant, can all make your home feel like a palace.

New Light Fittings

In winter, a lot of the day is dark. So you want to have your home filled with light. One way you could do that is by getting a new light fitting. Have you ever thought of something like a chandelier? They don’t have to be super expensive or ostentatious. It would particularly well in a room like the dining room. They just add so much light and sparkle as they are bit like having lots of tiny mirrors in the room. They make a unique feature in the room.

A cheaper alternative to a new light fitting would be to change the bulbs that you currently use. By getting some that have a brighter lumen or higher wattage, this will make the world of difference to a room. There is nothing better on these grey days!

Add a New Carpet or Rug

One definite way to add a luxury touch to your room is in your choice of carpet. A quality carpet can quite literally change the look of the whole room, particularly if you go for something in a neutral colour with a thick, super soft style. A luxury style carpet can make a room cosier and feel warmer, and works especially well in a bedroom.

If you don’t want to change your whole carpet, then a rug can make a room look like new. It can just be a small one or you could go for a larger option, that covers most of the floor. Going for a bright colour, like a pink rug, would stand out. Choose a colour that compliments the rest of the room, though, or else the effect will be more jarring than stunning.

Add Actual Sparkles

Have you ever thought of doing a bit of DIY and adding sparkles to accessories to your home? Done in the right way, it can look so good. You would just need a glue gun and some diamantes, and then you’re away. Some things that could benefit from a bit of added sparkle include lamps, towel rails, or draw handles. Whenever the light hits, they will just shine.

Go for Metals and Mirrors

What is shiny? Metals and mirrors of course! Using more mirrors in rooms can make the room look so much bigger. It will also reflect the light, making it brighter and shinier. Regarding fixtures and fittings, opt for metallic options. Candle holders and lamps can be scattered around the house, all adding shine and sparkle.

Think about Tiling

The kitchen and bathroom are some of the most-used rooms in the home, Could the tiles do with a sparkly update? You could just choose to replace a few, every few rows, to go for a unique design. If replacing the tiles is too much of a big step for you, could the splashback be replaced? This could be sparkly tiles or one large stainless steel sheet. It will make the kitchen look completely different.
