Ideas for your man for Valentine’s Day
In the general tradition of years literally flying by, we are now less than a month away from Valentine’s Day. And whether your opinion is that this is the most wonderful, romantic day of the year, or that it is just a commercialised excuse for the likes of Hallmark to make lots of money from tacky cards, less than impressive teddy bears and overpriced roses, the chances are you will still get sucked in and buy something for the love of your life. I guess we’re all old romantics at heart.
With that firmly in mind, I am of the opinion that if you are going to buy a present, you should make it a good one. Nobody really wants novelty socks, ugly cuddly toys or, thinking about it, anything with the word ‘novelty’ attached to it. So I am going to point you in the direction of things worth buying, gifts which might actually get a genuine smile and thank you. In this first post I am concentrating on the man in your life and looking at the offering from House of Fraser.
A good place to start looking is in the shoes, boots and accessories department where you are sure to find something that is both stylish and classic as a gift idea. I have been looking at the great range of Chelsea Boots for my hubby, who seems to have more shoes than any other bloke in the world, but still keeps finding new styles to admire. There are also lovely items like scarves, cufflinks and tablet cases. They even have socks, if this is your gift of choice, you can at least pick socks with a classy design and a decent label attached to them.
Here are some of my picks from House of Fraser that should win you brownie points from your old man this February 14th.

Brilliant choices, the scarf is ALWAYS needed especially in the UK, it’s used more times than anything else lol
