Joggers In Summer – Yes You Can!
If you’re anything like me, you probably have your wardrobe organised by the seasons. Those pretty cotton dresses – definitely Summer. Anything velvet – definitely in the Winter pile. Browns, golds, deep greens – perfect for Autumn. But what about your comfy joggers? Surely they have to be something that you opt for when the days are short and the weather is cold? The answer is that maybe this is true, but it doesn’t mean that your joggers can’t be Summer perfect too.
Femme Luxe is the home of fabulous loungewear, joggers and loungewear sets, and this Summer they have beautifully soft joggers in pastel colours which are super pretty and totally Summer wearable. They make great heading to the gym styles and also work well for pure Summer lounging, but can also work if you want to wear them out and about.
Here is my guide to making your joggers (in this case the Femme Luxe Ella oversized lilac Cuffed joggers ) perfect for Summer wearing.
Choose a pastel shade
We all know how well joggers work in those classic shades of black and grey. But use a pastel shade, and you instantly make them Summer ready. Femme Luxe has some brilliant, ice cream shades of soft pinks, mauves, lilacs, peach and mints that just look so pretty and feminine, and make your cosy comfort wear look like a Summer staple.

And then add a white vest…
White always looks cool and fresh, so is definitely great for Summer. Whether you choose to add a vest top in a traditional cut or a muscle cut, or just add a plain white t-shirt, the use of white will make your look work for Summer days. If you were looking to wear this look to a pub garden or even to grab a holiday cocktail, adding a camisole in a more luxe fabric would totally elevate your look once again.

Ditch the trainers
Although trainers and joggers are a match made in heaven, in Summer it pays to ditch the trainers to give your feet some air. A pair of sliders, or a simple toe post sandal in the style of Havainas work surprisingly well with joggers, particularly if you again opt for a pastel colour, or a neutral shade. My sandals are KG Kurt Geiger and are frankly as comfortable as a pair of slippers, and I think they work really well with these joggers.

Roll those legs up
Because you have ditched the trainers, you should’ve also ditched the socks, so it is only right to have some flesh on display. Roll the legs up on your joggers so you are showing some leg and ankle – this makes the look far more suitable to warmer days, and also means they would work well with a heeled sandal or wedge if you wanted to make the look more dressy.

Add some accessories
Some chunky bangles in neutral shades or metallics, a pair of statement earrings (mine are from a fabulous independent in Wales – Luvit), a long chain – because this look isn’t being worn for fitness you can add all that lovely jewellery you wouldn’t wear for the gym.
