June Outfit Post Part 2 – Holiday time!
A little later than I originally planned, (by life and laryngitis sort of got in the way), here is the second part of my June Outfit post, featuring some of my favourite looks from my recent holiday in Portugal.
Now. there are quite a few outfits here, and this is not even all of them, so you can probably guess that traveling hand luggage only with a great capsule wardrobe is not my way when it comes to holidays. Thank goodness for Jet 2, with 22kgs luggage and another 10kgs for hand luggage, which leaves me enough space for all my holiday outfits, and still room for a little holiday shopping too.
When it comes to holidays, I do have a few rules. The first is that footwear is restricted to flat sandals and flip flops. I give my feet a break from heels and wedges, and instead I live in comfy but pretty footwear. This year I was addicted to Ipanema’s that I picked up from TK Maxx, and Grendha’s that I got in the resort, both were flexible and pretty, and I wore them to death.
The second rule is to pack as many dresses as the case will hold. This year I did slightly break the rule with a couple of jumpsuits and maxi skirts, but in general, a dress is a cool and glamorous choice, and, if you pick one in cotton, it can be worn for both day and evening wear without looking under, or over dressed.
Where possible, I have posted a link to the pieces I am wearing, most of which are in the current sales and mean you can get a real bargain buy. Other pieces are from my wardrobe, some of which I’ve got in previous years for previous holidays, and, of course, there are a few charity shop buys too.
Are you going on your holiday’s soon? What will you be packing?

You are so right on the dresses. I took only dresses on holiday some weeks ago. Best decision ever.

Great selection. I have noticed the Dotty P midi dress (or similar….) proving very popular with mums on the school run. Hope you enjoyed Portugal, off there soon myself.

Good flip flops are essential! I walk everywhere in them when on holiday, and they usually fall apart.

I’ve really got into wearing dresses this year so they will be the staple of my holiday packing. We stay on a semi smart campsite – Its smart but yet still camping so I don’t want to be too dolled up!

Fab post – I love the Oasis hanky hem dress! We’re travelling hand luggage only for our holiday, so I’ll need to be very selective with what I pack…
