Kate wears Issa and Catherine Walker as the fashion parade continues.
Wow! Am I enjoying this royal tour. As the weather in Canada continues to scorch, the gorgeous Duchess of Cambridge turns the temperatures up even further with her endless parade of perfect looks. This time it was the turn of Kate favourite Issa, in the shape of a stunning purple jersey style dress. Kate has already worn an Issa swallow print dress, but this purple dress was a new look, and I frankly loved it!
With her elegant upswept hairdo, and accessorising with black Prada heels and another Anya Hindmarch bag, this time a neat clutch , this was an understated look that suited Kate perfectly. I love that she wore the Maple leaf brooch again as this outfit required just a bit of sparkle, and also think that William looked really cool in his tieless look. It’s great that Kate is remaining loyal to labels that she wore before her wedding, and this dress does have a touch of the blue engagement dress about it.
Next up for Kate was a spot of tree planting and a wonderful dress from Catherine Walker. This is the Kensington shift dress and it again looked fabulous. Catherine Walker was famously the favourite designer of Princess Diana, and was the design house of choice for Carole Middleton at the royal wedding, and Royal Ascot more recently. This was a chic choice for Kate, although there have been comments that it may have been a bit wintry for such a hot day. Others have also commented that it wasn’t exactly appropriate for tree planting, but aside from wearing trousers, which I can’t remember a British princess ever doing on an official engagement, what is appropriate for tree planting? Incidentally, I adore the shiny silvertone shoes by Tabitha Simmons, and the nod to the high street clutch bag from Hobbs.
If you are already gritting your teeth at how fabulous Kate looks all the time, then don’t look at the picture above. Even in chefs whites – she looks absolutely amazing. Not fair is it?
Next up, it was another dress for new royal favourite Erdem, and yet more navy. This strong shade really seems to suit Kate, and this is another truly beautiful dress. With a lace bodice and fitted style, it suits Kate’s figure and it is great that she cleverly accessorised with yet more nude. Erdem is Canadian born, so Kate cleverly continued to pay tribute to the host nation, whilst supporting the British Fashion Industry.
Kate’s latest look is this Vanessa dress from Joseph which she teamed with a pink jacket, and more nude accessories, this time from LK Bennett. Again, you can only say flawless. Pretty Links of London earrings complete the look. This is another Kate effect pointer, according to some Kate watching sites, this dress sold out within 8 minutes online after Kate appeared wearing it.
