Liquid Yoga from Mio

Liquid Yoga. Even the name sounds like something that will be tranquil and relaxing.  Mio Skincare has created a range of products that claim to be Liquid Yoga – by that they mean relaxing, soothing and basically a personal masseuse in a bottle. As someone who spends a lot of time walking, and even more playing football in the garden with an active 6 year old, the idea of having my own personal masseuse is very tempting. And if Liquid Yoga isn’t quite George Clooney delivering a massage, it comes pretty close.

Mio sells Liquid Yoga so well. It says “..Relax and calm your busy mind; ease hard-working muscles and restore your body with our perfect milky-moisturising blend of essential oils, mineral salts and therapeutic herbs…” It all sounds amazing, and when you add in the fact that it also has a ‘No Nasties policy’ which means that Liquid Yoga is totally free from parabens, petrolatum, synthetic fragrance and colourants, xenoestrogens, PEGs, glycols and pthalates, you get a product that is genuinely kind and caring and good for all skin types.

I have been using Liquid Yoga in my bath and am totally obsessed with it. For a start, the product comes in a lovely bottle and a box, which makes it a great gift idea. It works best in a hot bath for a real soak, with a little going a long way. And then there is the scent, a mixture of arnica, Epsom salts and V Tonic (a mix of spearmint, cypress, lavender, mandarin and chamomile essential oils). All these are said to ease stress and tension and to encourage relaxation. The minty/eucalyptus type smell is just gorgeous, and is great if you have a cold or blocked up nose too.  Also added to the mix is Murumuru Butter, this means that the soak is also helping to soften and moisturise the skin. When you step out of a Liquid Yoga bath, you feel totally refreshed and soothed.
