Miss Selfridge – Your one stop for Saturday night dresses.

I’ve just been looking through the new season look at Miss Selfridge and it is safe to say that if you need a super special dress for the weekend, you need to look no further. From glittering full  length showstoppers, to vintage inspired designs and new variations on a little black dress, there are some really stunning designs in this collection, which look more high-end than High Street.

Here are some of my hot picks from Miss Selfridge.

This dress is very Balmain inspired, like a longer version of the dress that was worn by Emma Watson. Imagine walking into a Christmas party wearing this! Beautiful, and so sexy with hardly any skin on display.

Marilyn Monroe caused quite a stir  in  the 1950s with a skin-tight lame halter neck dress. Miss Selfridge have updated it, softened the gold tone by adding pinkish undertones, and created this gorgeous floaty dress that is both sexy and pretty in one.

The 1960s is a big trend this Autumn/Winter, and this black dress is the sort hat Marianne Faithfull might have worn in 1965, whilst Alexa Chung wears her version in 2011. Add flat Mary-Janes for an innocent look.

Any fan of Markus Lupfer will love the design of this dress, it is a great version of one of his Spring/Summer looks that has been adapted for the new season. Very pretty and frothy – perfect for girlie girls.

Forties silhouettes and detailing are also a huge story. This black dress has adapted the puff shoulders and sheer dot design, but added a more modern skater skirt, making it a very cute look.

Miss Selfridge £45

All dresses will be  available at Miss Selfridge, Outfit stores nationwide and missselfridge.com
