Next Kids Spring/Summer Preview Event
The range of kids clothing at Next is always a big hit with both myself and Joe. This season he has lived in his Lego t-shirt with ‘Everything is Awesome’ emblazoned on the front (a present from Uncle Ben), and we have also recently picked up a fab dinosaur design that he saw on a trip to New Square, and basically fell in love with. So the opportunity for a trip to Next HQ to see the new Spring/Summer collection, with Pizza making on the menu for lunch, was just too good to miss.
Joe’s Spring Picks

Next HQ in Leicester is a vast building dedicated to all things Next – fashion, home furnishings and beauty. In the middle of the building there is an actual pop-up shop that is a dedicated children’s department, complete with a child-friendly play area at the centre. This was the setting for the Kids preview event, a look at all the fabulous lines that will be hitting Next stores in the coming weeks. This was also the setting for a lot of kiddie fun.

Whilst Joe was enjoying playing with the other children, I went for a wonder around the pop up store to have a look at the beautiful pieces that Next has produced for Spring/Summer 2014. As usual, there was a mixture of fun and wearable cotton pieces, and more dressy stuff for special occasions. The pop up shop was divided into girl and boy sections, so I will start with showing some of the girl’s fashion that caught my eye, and, where possible, I will link to the website if the pieces have already hit stores.

And for the boys, there was just as much choice and fab designs.

After browsing the collections, the Next team and blogger guests moved onto a lovely Italian restaurant Cini. Joe actually had the chance to visit the kitchen to make his own Pizza – a very exciting moment that he was very proud of.

Both Joe and I had a very lovely time, and would like to thank Gemma, Ellie and Vicki from Next for the invitation and hospitality.

a) Joe looks like a very cool kid, especially in his new stuff
b) LOVE Next clothes – always wear well and are my first choice for buying newborn gifts too. The sleepsuits are the best.

Actually Mummy...
The Bug picked out the LEGO t shirt too – now we’re just waiting for it all to be in store. So much lovely stuff!

Sounds like a great event, love to see when a retailer takes the time to make something special to showcase their store(s). I know a wee five year old who’ll be wanting an ‘everything is awesome’ t-shirt very soon. He’s already got me using the song as my alarm clock in the morning (to be honest there are worse alarm clocks 😛 ).

Will definitely pop across. The Dino tees are just fab – Joe’s was just £5.50, which I think is a total bargain to be honest.
