Next Kids Spring/Summer Preview Event

The range of kids clothing at Next is always a big hit with both myself and Joe. This season he has lived in his Lego t-shirt with ‘Everything is Awesome’ emblazoned on the front (a present from Uncle Ben), and we have also recently picked up a fab dinosaur design that he saw on a trip to New Square, and basically fell in love with. So the opportunity for a trip to Next HQ to see the new Spring/Summer collection, with Pizza making on the menu for lunch, was just too good to miss.

Next HQ in Leicester is a vast building dedicated to all things Next – fashion, home furnishings and beauty. In the middle of the building there is an actual pop-up shop that is a dedicated children’s department, complete with a child-friendly play area at the centre. This was the setting for the Kids preview event, a look at all the fabulous lines that will be hitting Next stores in the coming weeks. This was also the setting for a lot of kiddie fun.

Whilst Joe was enjoying playing with the other children, I went for a wonder around the pop up store to have a look at the beautiful pieces that Next has produced for Spring/Summer 2014. As usual, there was a mixture of fun and wearable cotton pieces, and more dressy stuff for special occasions. The pop up shop was divided into girl and boy sections, so I will start with showing some of the girl’s fashion that caught my eye, and, where possible, I will link to the website if the pieces have already hit stores.

After browsing the collections, the Next team and blogger guests moved onto a lovely Italian restaurant Cini.  Joe actually had the chance to visit the kitchen to make his own Pizza – a very exciting moment that he was very proud of.

Both Joe and I had a very lovely time, and would like to thank Gemma, Ellie and Vicki from Next for the invitation and hospitality.

    • Thank you – Joe is a bit of a cool kid and has quite an opinion on clothing already *shudders!

  1. How fabulous! Who doesn’t love Next and it looks like they put on a fab event. Your kid looks super cute too! Loving their range at the moment! #Brilliantblogposts

  2. Sounds like a great event, love to see when a retailer takes the time to make something special to showcase their store(s). I know a wee five year old who’ll be wanting an ‘everything is awesome’ t-shirt very soon. He’s already got me using the song as my alarm clock in the morning (to be honest there are worse alarm clocks 😛 ).

    • Will definitely pop across. The Dino tees are just fab – Joe’s was just £5.50, which I think is a total bargain to be honest.
