Wallis introduce W Crimson Collection
The second drop from the Wallis W collection for Spring 2014 is now available in store and online. Called the Crimson collection, this one still has an emphasis on neutrals and nude shades, but is now jazzed up with the introduction of orange and tonal pinks. As before the collection has elements of tailoring, with structured jackets and cigarette pants, and this time there is the addition of smart shorts that can be worn with a blazer for a twist on office chic.
For me, it is again the dresses that I admire most. Thinking towards holiday packing there are maxi dresses that explode in print, and soft silk shifts that will become multi purpose when Summer comes. The pink layered shift dress is a particular favourite, cool enough for the office in Summer, you can add heels and a clutch bag to wear this for a summer wedding, or pack it carefully in your suitcase to wear with a colour clash sandal for sightseeing in Europe. Clearly a dress that will work hard and earn its keep in your wardrobe.
The other piece designed to be labelled ‘hero’ is the gorgeously soft, nude pencil skirt. I love the knee-length and the pencil shape, which again allows this to be worn smartly with a silk shirt, or more casually with a simple white or black (actually any colour would work with this.) t-shirt. Currently on promotion for £76, a saving of £19 – this is a brilliant buy that will work all year-long.
Here are my faves from the new collection – what are your thoughts?

I like the maxi dress. I keep meaning to get a maxi dress – one day! Thanks for sharing with #WotW

I sometimes struggle to wear them, but do love a tailored look.
