Primark New Season In Stores Now
Despite the way 2020 has gone for retail, Primark still doesn’t have an online presence, so the only way to see the new pieces, their trends and ranges for Autumn/Winter 2020 is to physically go into the stores to take a look. I went into the World’s Biggest Primark last week to take a look, and was impressed with the knitwear range and the accessories.
The style and colour of ranges are traditional Autumnal, creams and deep moss greens, animal print and Arran style cardigans are all featured. Skirts are midi length, and pleats show no signs of disappearing, even though it has been a fair few years since the eponymous Whistles number heralded their comeback.
It is daywear that makes up almost all of the ranges, people are still not venturing out much in the evening it seems, and with nightclubs and theatres still closed (sob!) there is not much call for sequins and evening wear. Instead we have outfits shown in the second picture below, the black blouse, black jeans and white boots, that, with the addition of some statement jewellery, could easily take you from shopping to a restaurant or pub.
You may have seen that the tank top (or sleeveless jumper if you prefer) has made a real comeback this season. A smart option for Zoom calls as we all work from home, I love the minimalistic Primark version in classic black.
The range of accessories are, as usual, totally on point in terms of style and pricing. I love the animal print scarf which is a lovely size, a real comfort scarf. The scarf/jumper combo below (a scumper maybe?) would look great to add an extra layer under a biker jacket, worn over a crisp white shirt. There are also still some lightweight designs, including the fabulous pink number which totally took my eye, and I love the pink beanie hat that has been made using recycled material.
