Reviewed Boohoo Lou Slim Boyfriend Jeans
As I have previously blogged, I am on the hunt for the perfect jeans for girls with curvy figures. I want jeans that hug and enhance, rather than give the sausage effect by being too tight. I want jeans that don’t roll down my stomach leaving me hitching them up all day (so not a good look), and I want jeans that fit my legs without being too long – hence needing to be turned up, or too short. So far I have found one pair of jeans that I love (from F&F – check out that review here.) Now I turn my attention to a slim Boyfriend jean from the Boohoo plus size range that I have been so impressed with.

I have been lucky enough to be asked to review items from the latest Boohoo plus size drop. I have been super impressed by the wearable dresses, and so was intrigued to see if I would like the jeans, especially as jeans are my bête noire of the fashion world. In general I avoid boyfriend jeans – baggy is just not flattering on curves. But the Lou are a slim boyfriend design, a style I haven’t tried before, and, for a boyfriend jean they looked a smart option.

The first thing I liked about the jeans was the dark indigo. As I have mentioned before, I am not a fan of light coloured jeans, and these are a nice, rich shade. The jeans are stretch cotton denim, but I did find these a bit difficult to get on – they are not that stretchy so don’t be fooled by the labelling. However, once they are on I found them to be the perfect fit. The leg length was good for me to wear with wedge boots, and the button fastening was comfortable – it didn’t dig into the waist.
I also really liked the way my butt looked in these jeans. It’s not usually a part of the body I like – it often looks flat and can leave jeans baggy in this area. But in these jeans I felt positively Kardashian like!
Overall, I would give these jeans 9/10, the only thing I’m not a fan of is the double button feature of the fly – I would just prefer one big button if I’m honest. But, other than that, these are a great pair of jeans.
