Snapfish ideas for lovely dads

The very first online photo service I ever used was from Snapfish. Joe had just been born and I wanted to take photographs of him at every step, Snapfish offered an affordable way to print those photographs. Then I discovered the beautiful photo books, and I ordered these – a brag book for the grandparents, a little one I kept in my bag for showing friends when I got an (odd) adults only day. Snapfish are a service I trust with my photos and memories.

I have been looking at the options they are offering for Father’s day, looking now at presents for Joe to give to his dad. Joe is such a daddies boy, they have a great bond and do so much together (as I write this Pete has just literally got through the door and is already playing football with Joe – still in work boots and with sawdust in his hair.) A photographic gift from Joe is a great, personal gift that celebrates the bond they have, and Snapfish has some beautiful gift ideas that offer something a little different from the norm.

Collage Prints

If your child is of an age where they have their own pocket money, and therefore buy their own gifts, a collage print is a fabulous idea. The largest size (10×8) is just £1.09 and can be arranged with up to 20 images appearing. I love that you could make a theme, or add a title, and can also change the colour of the background.

Magnets

Another great budget idea, magnets are a lovely gift as they can be used home or office, making them useful as well as super adorable. I added one of Pete’s favourite images of Joe to our magnet and just love the way it has turned out. This is an acrylic magnet, but you can also get photo magnets too.

Collage Photo panels

In the same way that a photo collage is a lovely way to organise your photographs, if you have a slightly higher budget you could opt for a photo panel. The photo panel is a ready made photo gift, with no need for framing or mounting – it is already done for you. Photo Panels come in a range of sizes and colours, and can be personalised with a title or message. Our photograph frame contains three of my Pete’s favourite pictures of Joe, but you can add more than the three we chose to make a real frame of memories for a loved one.

A few words from Snapfish about creating your gift.

Your memories, your family and your passion are the best inspiration you can have. But just in case, here are some more ideas for you:

· Use scans of old photos

· Scan a drawing or a letter and use it instead of a photo

· Mix photos of your family with more artistic photos, snaps of your travels or messages and quotes uploaded as JPEG images and use them as part of your project

· Use tints, filters and borders when possible to create more impactful gifts

· Upload high resolution photos to get better results

· Watch our photo book videos and look at the creative tips; they might just give you that extra bit of inspiration that you need to turn your book into a masterpiece:
