Stylish Sleepwear from Hunkemöller
Hunkemöller is a name that I have only just become familiar with, but it is actually one of the largest lingerie specialists in Europe. A luxurious treasure trove of lingerie, leisure and sleepwear, Hunkemöller designs its products in house, and has a focus on quality and luxury when it comes to its designs and fabrics used. Currently supermodel Doutzen Kroes is a face of the brand with the range ‘Doutzen’s Stories’ which is sure to be very popular this Christmas, but the brand is so much more than sexy, sensuous undies, it also has sleepwear that is both beautiful to look at and comfortable to wear, plus it all comes boxed in such a way that it would be a thrill opening it on Christmas morning,
I was recently asked if I would like to review a piece of sleepwear from Hunkemöller. Now, I do have a few rules when it comes to sleepwear. The first is that I am most definitely a PJ girl, I rarely wear a nightdress as I find them impractical and uncomfortable – when it’s warm in Summer I just wear a vest top instead. I also like jersey fabrics or stretch cotton – I am a fairly restless sleeper so my pjs need to move with me, rather than tying me in knots. Crisp cotton is cool and stylish, but it doesn’t move when I do and I have ruined so many pairs of pyjamas by ripping them when I was not sleeping well. But even saying all this, I do like prettiness rather than cute prints.
The Limited edition Pyjamaset Modal lace is a beautiful two piece set that successfully combines luxury softness and style with practical stretch fabric (viscose and elastane) that makes it super comfortable to wear.
It combines a beautiful lace and jersey style top, with adjustable back straps, a lace bodice with an empire line style. The top is slightly longer in length than usual pyjama tops, which should stop in riding up when you are asleep. The V neckline is attractive, especially if you are a woman with a larger bust. This is teamed with long length pyjama bottoms that are loose fitting and have an elasticated waistline.
This limited edition pyjama set comes in classic black, but also in coloured options in red and blue. If, like me, you like to have new pyjama’s at Christmas, this could be a perfect gift idea for a loved one, or for yourself, and will certainly look more glam on those Christmas morning photographs than Primark fleecy efforts.
