Gifts through the post are sorted with Postboxed

We’ve all had a problem when we try to send a gift through the post. We choose the gift carefully, make sure we send it with plenty of time to get there, and also send it recorded so that it arrives safely. And then it happens, the recipient happens to be out on the day the postman arrives, and the gift ends up sitting in on a post office shelf, waiting to be collected. Somehow, that special occasion comes and goes without your gift being there to enjoy. Annoying isn’t it?

But fear not, there is now a wonderful solution that means that you can choose a gift and it will arrive on time, and be posted, even if your loved one is not home. Postboxed offers a service where they choose a specially curated range of gifts that will fit through the letterbox, even when they are gift wrapped. The gifts have been chosen from premium brands and sources, and they have choices that will suit both men, women and children.

The service is really easy to use. First you select your Letterbox Friendly Gift, you can then add a gift-note and delivery date on the shopping cart page. You fill in your recipients’s address and the gift is then sent First Class with the Royal Mail within one business day unless a later date has been requested.

I tried the service choosing a gift for my hubby Pete. I’m a huge fan of Alphabet Bags, loving the wit and humour of the brand, and I knew Pete would appreciate their man’s washbag, but wasn’t sure how this would fit into a box that would slip through the letterbox.

The gift arrived very quickly, within a day of being sent. I loved the Postboxed vintage style stamp on the box, it makes the present look very retro and cool.

Inside the box, the gift is beautifully gift wrapped in tissue paper. Being slightly bigger than the box, the bag had been carefully folded, but was easily reshaped once items were added to it.

With Mother’s Day and Easter both coming up in March, Postboxed is a great way to show a loved one you love them with a very special gift. With gifts from brands such as Azuni London (a Kate Middleton fave), Moleskine, Sloane Stationary and Ted Baker, you will be able to find the perfect gift for even those who are difficult to please. And it will be delivered on time too!

Fabulous Mother’s Day Florals from Moonpig

On Tuesday I spent a lovely day in the gorgeous confines of the Montague Hotel in Bloomsbury. Enjoying a range of gorgeous sweet treats and Prosecco, I was a guest of the brand as they showcased their latest floral offerings, just in time for Mother’s Day.

Now I guess that I’m not the only person who believed that was merely the home of personalised greetings cards. But to dismiss Moonpig as just a place to find a great card would be silly in the extreme. The brand is responsible for some of the loveliest floral bouquets and arrangements that you would ever wish to see. And showcasing these in the gorgeous environs of The Montague on the Gardens was nothing short of a masterstroke.

Moonpig have a truly beautiful range of flowers and plants that make the perfect gift for anniversaries, birthdays, and, of course, Mother’s day. The prices start from a reasonable £25, with most bouquets averaging between £30 – £40. Each bouquet comes with a free card to complete your gift, and the arrangements vary in the types of flowers used, so you can chose your favourite flowers, or favourite colours to make the present even more personal and special to the recipient.

There are also some pretty special gift options too.  Everyone was impressed with the breakfast in a box option, just the thing if you are planning to treat someone to breakfast in bed. There were also pampering options with lovely Heathcote and Ivory bath and body treats in vintage style packaging. And, of course, for those in celebratory mood, there were bottles of fizz and different varieties of wine.

I was really impressed with the Moonpig offering, and with a great delivery service that is available until literally a few hours before Mother’s Day itself, it is a brilliant option for both those who remember, and those who almost always forget.

Ideas for Mother’s Day gifts from Snapfish

If you are looking for something a little bit different from the usual flowers and chocolates this Mother’s Day, then a very personal gift from photography experts Snapfish may well be a perfect option. Snapfish have a great range of product options that make perfect gifts for the special people in your life. And with the personalisation option – these are gift ideas that will be truly treasured.

I was given the chance to review some of the services that Snapfish provides. Everyone associates Snapfish with their photography service, but they offer so much more than merely prints. One of the hero products that Snapfish does so well is their hardback photo books, and I decided to review one of these.

Photo Books

Snapfish does a range of Photo books in many different sizes, from 7×5 flipbooks that are a great handbag size, to large and glossy landscape books that are the newest form of photo album. I opted to produce a special book for my dad featuring all my favourite pictures of him with Joe, his treasured grandson. I opted to do this using the pre-made photo book option, which resizes and places all your images into a book. You can also do this manually, adding pictures from all your different albums that you have uploaded.

The glossy front cover of my photo book.

I was so impressed with the quality of the photograph book. The hardback cover was glossy and the colours were beautifully bright and vibrant. Inside images of all different sizes had been carefully grouped throughout the book with white and black borders creating a really striking effect. The inclusion of a blank page at the front of the book is perfect if you want to write a personal message – maybe this is a birthday present or something special for Mother’s or Father’s day.

Photo Collage Prints

The lovely, bright collage print I produced for my mom.

Another fabulous gift idea is the collage print. This enables you to put together some of your favourite images in a format perfect for framing. Collage prints can also be turned into mugs, mouse mats and even posters. I put a collage print together for my mom, containing some of her favourite images. This is a 10×8 Collage print, again I have to say the photographic quality is very good. (click here to find more information and prices on photo prints and collage prints).

The final product that I reviewed was a personalised notebook. I think this is a brilliant gift idea for so many occasions and different people – students going off to college or University, children who just love to write, an aide memoir for daddy, mommy, literally everyone. The prices start at £5.99, which I think is a great bargain for a totally unique gift.

All in all, I think Snapfish is a brilliant option when it comes to choosing affordable yet personal gifts. It should definitely be a site you consider when thinking of Mother’s Day, and currently has free delivery on all orders over £20.
