Yesterday I received my first invitation to an event that I describe as part of  summer season. It is for a ladies day lunch and seasonal style and fashion show and is being hosted at Birmingham’s Botanical gardens, and will call for a knockout dress. This invite is sure to be followed by invites to ‘Ladies Day’ events at the races and the tennis, any number of wedding invites and generally for events that call for occasion wear.
