Oscars 2013 – My top 10 Dresses
So it’s all over, the 2013 Oscars was one of the most anticipated ceremonies in recent years, with some real vintage films and performances to savour. In terms of the dresses, I don’t personally think it was a vintage year, most stars looked great, but safe in their choices, and there were so many strapless dresses that I was overjoyed when the long-sleeved vision of Jennifer Hudson walked onto the red carpet. Stunningly beautiful, with perfect violet eyes, she was famous for her looks, her talents and her tumultuous love life. Oscar night fashion awards…and the oscar goes to…?
The Oscars are the most important night of the year for the Hollywood fashionista’s. There have been so many memorable dresses over the years – Julia Roberts in Valentino vintage, Renee Zellweger in yellow Jean Desses, Kate Winslet in red Ben De Lisi and Nicole Kidman in Chartreuse John Galliano. There have also been the shock horrors of couture – Bjork coming as a swan, Cher in a red Indian style headdress and Celine Dion in a back to front tuxedo come to mind.
