Ler-Zure Skin Bright Serum reviewed

Skin brightening serums are a big beauty news story. As well as wanting to protect our ever ageing skin, these days we also want to improve its general appearance, getting rid (or at least reducing the appearance) of fine line, age spots and reducing the appearance of uneven skin tones. We basically want our beauty serums to be easy to use, and multi faceted in what they can achieve.

Ler-Zure skin bright serum from Allerzure is just one of these multi-purpose serums, with the added attraction of not containing Hydroquinine, Mercury, Parabens or Steroids. In fact 94% of the ingredients are naturally derived, including Grapefruit Extract, Mulberry Extract, Licorice Root Extract, and Bearberry Leaf Extract. It also contains a sunscreen, which is great for those days when the sun appears unexpectedly, and you have not applied protection.

Ler-Zure skin bright serum is designed to do just that. It wants to give your skin film star luminosity, whilst giving you a more even skin tone. Within 14 days of using the product two times daily, you should start to see improvements that include age spots becoming less apparent, your complexion becoming more even and your skin generally looking brighter and healthier.

I have been using this product for just under 2 weeks now and so far, I have to say I’m impressed. For a start, it looks great. Many products these days come in functional, plain packaging which makes them look medicinal. This comes in a gold metal casing that reminds me of Chanel body sprays – it will look just gorgeous on your bathroom shelf.

The bottle is pump action, so you can get just the right amount for each usage and avoid waste. The product has a lovely scent to it, not overly fragranced, but I do like some scent so this works well for me. The formulation sinks into the skin easily, with no stinging after – effects. I applied this straight after washing my face in the mornings and evenings, and then waited 10 minutes before applying make up. It was very easy to slot into my current routine and I liked how soft it made my skin feel afterwards.

Ler-Zure is a great, versatile product that can also be used on the neck and cleavage area, and even on the hands if you are showing age spots there too.

New Products from This Works

This Works has to be one of my favourite natural beauty brands. Their products are designed to work with your body to improve the tone, complexion and feel of the skin, and I have yet to meet one of their products that I haven’t totally loved. With Summer (and holidays) on the way I want to get my skin looking as good as possible, and so I have been trying a couple of new products from the This Works range – because anything that promises glowing skin has got to be worth a try!

Energy Bank Skin Glow

You know when you put something on your face and then you keep touching it because it feels so soft – that is the precise result of applying the energy bank skin glow. Full of natural ingredients that include green algae, vitamin C, red algae and corn seed, this is a multi-tasking serum designed to be a pick me up to dull skin, add hydration to dry skin, and to address issues related to ageing spots and pigmentation.

The bottle is pump action, and a little goes a little way – I used two small pumps daily. I applied this after my cleanser and toner in the morning – it sinks right in so takes no time at all. I then added my make-up over the top as it also works as a primer. The concentration is thin so it almost feels like a drink for your skin, adding a glow as soon as you put it on. There is a fine scent which makes it smell lovely and clean – again, a perfect pick me up for mornings when you feel a little sluggish.

This leaves my skin feeling fresh and revitalised – there is no sting, even on my sensitive skin, and I  feel happy using this every single day. A total thumbs up from me!

Skin Deep Beauty Oil

This handbag sized product (8ml) is a little gem. Containing the gloriously scented Rose, Neroli and Jasmine, this roll-on product is great for nourishing dry skin (I always love oils for this, even on oily skin), and with the heady, yet calming scent, it is also said to ‘elevate the mood.’

I use this on my pulse points – wrists, neck and elbow joints when I am feeling a little ‘off’ – either due to tiredness or headache. I have also applied this to the pressure points at my temples if I feel a headache about to come on – it is soothing and seems to ease the pressure.

I also suffer from dry skin around the edges of my face and have used a little there – it softens the skin and adds much needed oil and moisture to the extremeties.

Another must try products – mine now lives in my handbag.

Beauty Review – Kiehl’s Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate

In August I attended a special Bloggers event held by the Bullring, and I was introduced to a product that was not actually hitting stores until later that month. The product was from Kiehl’s – a brand I totally love, and it promised to do all sorts of wonderful things to the appearance of the skin. I was totally desperate to try this product out, and, I have to say, after doing so, I’ve not been disappointed.

The product was the Hydro-Plumping Re-Texturising Serum Concentrate. This is a serum that promises to improve the overall appearance of skin’s plumpness, while smoothing the look of fine lines and skin texture. As I’ve now hit 40, looking after my skin has grown in importance, I can see the tiredness that creeps into the skin, the lines that once upon a time I couldn’t even dream of, so a product that promises to address this is one that was well worth a try.

The serum is not the cheapest item around (£40 for a 50ml bottle), but you only need to use a single, small pump to do your whole face and neck so this will last for quite a long time. The texture is lovely as it is not oily, so you can apply it and then put make-up over the top, but I preferred to keep this for evening use, so it could work whilst I was sleeping. My skin absorbed it very quickly – a bonus as I hate my face to feel sticky from skincare products.

My main skin problems relate to hydration, and this is something that this serum has definitely addressed. My skin is smoother, and it feels softer, particularly around the extremities, which are often dry to the touch and quite rough feeling. I also noticed that my skin looks a little brighter too – I often tend towards reddish patches on my cheeks when the summer tan fades, and this seems to be correcting – making me a very happy lady.

I would totally recommend this product, and, as it is Black Friday, now might be a fab time to try it with 20% off at Selfridges.
