Vision Direct launch ‘A Pug’s Christmas

It’s been quite a Christmas when it comes to adverts. We’ve had the tear jerking Man in the Moon by John Lewis, the hilarious Calamity Christmas with Judith Kerr’s Mog from Sainsburys, and now, Vision Direct have launched their first ever Christmas campaign, which may well be the cutest and most adorable of them all. And it is all thanks to a gorgeous little pug called Gizmo.

‘A Pug’s Christmas’ is the heartwarming story of a little boy, and his short-sighted pug, the gloriously cute Gizmo. Now, if I hadn’t already drawn you in with the fact that the star of the show is a dog, that fact that this dog is wearing Eric Morecambe glasses that become more and more damaged as the ad goes on (Think Jack Duckworth with those taped up National Health specs) should definitely convert you. Just have a little watch above.

Vision Direct worked closely in partnership with Bespoke Film and Communications to ensure it’s first Christmas ad would be something everyone could enjoy, and I’m sure you’ll agree that they have definitely achieved this, as well as getting across a message that you can order contact lenses for Christmas delivery from Vision Direct until 21st December. This is due to the brand’s superfast delivery service for lenses.

Ashley Mealor, Chief Marketing Officer at Vision Direct, said: “As well as promoting our service to a brand new audience, our Christmas campaign is an opportunity to share something special with our customers over the festive season.”
