The most wonderful time of the year…for burglars
It is the most wonderful time of the year. We are all getting excited as we countdown to Christmas, and our homes look their prettiest as we deck the halls, dress the tree, and generally make everything sparkling and pretty. But there is another side to Christmas that is less seasonal and rather more unsavoury. For Christmas is also the most wonderful time of the year for burglars.
Late November to early January are the worst time of the year in terms of house burglaries. Presents are left on display under Christmas tress, fully lit by twinkling lights. People are out and about, whether they are shopping, enjoying school plays, parties and panto’s, or just visiting family and friends. Add in to this the fact that some people choose to go away for the whole of the Christmas break, and there are a lot of opportunities for burglars to make the most of, made more attractive by all those Christmas presents just waiting to be enjoyed. We all remember the Wet Bandits from Home Alone. Well, it’s certainly no laughing matter when it comes to real life.
So this is the perfect time to check your home security. Kings Security is a company that deals with all aspects of home security, from the simplest of burglar alarms, to complete bespoke packages that include CCTV, electric gates and a call-out response team that are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. (Yes, including Christmas Day). And, as one of the main problems with home security systems seems to be in the maintenance, Kings also offers a maintenance and monitoring service that means alarms actually work, and are responded to when they go off (for any reason.)
With Christmas literally peaking it’s head around the corner, and Santa getting ready to stack that sleigh with rather expensive and much wanted gifts, now really is the perfect time to check the security of your home.

That is such a good point, people forget that it’s a vulnerable time of the year. Thanks for trying to raise the awareness x

It’s great that you are highlighting this, to be honest I didn’t really think about it but Christmas would be a prime target! xo
