Wallis Bloggers Day – Summer Sunshine Style

I spent a very pleasant Tuesday afternoon in the company of some very lovely bloggers and the fabulous ladies from Wallis PR at a special Wallis Spring/Summer blogger event. With Prosecco, cake pops and delicious sandwiches provided, as well as a fashion feast in the form of the Wallis Spring/Summer Collection, this had promised to be a really lovely event – and it lived up to all expectations.

One of the nicest things about bloggers events at Arcadia is that you actually have the opportunity to try on lots of the new ranges to really look at sizing, shape, and just how they generally look on women who are not models. I had real fun trying on lots of the latest looks, and was really impressed with so many pieces, wanting to purchase lots of them for my summer holiday later this year.

One of the key pieces from the current range is this lovely orange, Grecian style dress with concealed splits.

I loved the colour of this dress and the styling is very floaty and pretty. I would probably remove the gold belt if I was wearing this out as I think thin belts can make larger busts appear a little bit ‘parcel shelf’, but this was very light and comfortable to wear.

I also tried on this gorgeous blue maxi dress with the twisted bust detailing.

This dress is super stretchy and so is comfortable to wear, and is also non crease, so would be great to pack. Karen from Frumpy to Funky looks lovely in one of the delicate dresses from the W collection.

My favourite look of all was the one that I would never have considered buying in store.  I don’t believe this is in stores yet, but it is THE perfect holiday wardrobe purchase – the colours are just incredible. Karen’s dress was another favourite, the neckline was just so beautiful with the coral embellishment.

The final look was what I termed a beautiful nightmare. I loved this fringed top from the W collection, which reminded me of a piece that Nicole Richie has worn recently, but I struggled to get the fringes to flow in the right directions. However, it is definitely a statement piece worth the hassle. Karen chose a gorgeous printed number that just screamed summer, again from the W collection.
