X Factor catch-up.
So, the last few weeks on the X Factor have produced some interesting outfit choices. For my mind, Kelly still wins the most stylish award hands down, but Tulisa has sported some interesting and rather gorgeous looks herself, including a rather showstopping gown from Bruce Oldfield. Here is a rundown of the looks, with a few ‘get the look’ ideas.
Last Saturday saw Kelly channelling an androgynous look in a Stella McCartney tuxedo and cigarette pants. This was a fabulous look for someone as svelte and statuesque as Kelly, but seemed to have something missing. It possibly needed a great piece of jewellery to move it from Maitre’d attire.
If Kelly went for a masculine look, Tulisa was almost fairy princess, wearing a beautiful structured gown by royal designer Bruce Oldfield. This was Tulisa’s crowning moment, she looked so elegant it made me wish she would ditch the thigh skimmers more often!
Sunday saw Kelly in decidedly gothic mood, possibly in a tribute to the guest star Lady Gaga. The beautiful Corrie Nielson blouse and Elie Tahiri long frilled skirt may not be to everyone’s taste, but in this Autumn of Twlight Breaking Dawn this outfit suits the mood perfectly.

Tulisa went back to her short, sexy style in a shimmering floral and sequin mini dress.I think Tulisa could do this look in her sleep, so although I like the dress, I was a little disappointed with this choice.

This week saw Kelly sporting one of my favourite X Factor looks ever! This was a beautiful Sass and Bide full length gown with beaded front bib that was slightly Egyptian in style. I loved that she plumped for white again, and as for those silver platforms – one word – AMAZING.
Tulisa went for an interesting one sleeved mini dress that was unusual in its texturing. This was another below par look, but I did like her big haired look which really suited her.

This sunday saw the girls in harmony in their colour choices, which seem to have been inspired by the sea. Kelly wore a revealing skater style dress by Phillip Armstrong that again revealed those new boobs. This dress had a very futuristic feel, think Kelly walking like a robot whilst singing ‘I lost my heart to a starship trooper’ and you get the idea.
Tulisa wore a mint green lace mini dress from Matthew Williamson. With long sleeves and all over lace detailing, this is very much a style for the moment, although I don’t think that this has enough glamour for the X Factor. And am I the only one who thinks this is a little bit Pippa Middleton?

Off stage update
I personally wish that Tulisa had opted to wear this Dorothy Perkins gold dress on the stage, rather than the floral sequins. This dress shows just how amazing the British High Street can be, and is a total snip at £60.
