Jools Holland Hootenanny is always a tradition in my house for New Year, with a small child we’re usually back in well before the clocks strikes Midnight(no Cinderella moments for me) and so always welcome the new year with Jools and his guests. Harvey Nichols Spring fashion show…Can I have it all please?
Last Saturday saw Harvey Nichols, Birmingham, hold a host of fabulous fashion shows to celebrate the new season. The shows, being held in a fashion theatre on the ground floor of the Mailbox, celebrated all that is new to Harvey Nicks, a mixture of casual daytime and evening glamour. Designers from Malene Birger,Philip Armstrong, McQueen, DKNY and Markus Lupfer were all represented in the show, as was an array of totally gorgeous Louboutins. X Factor catch-up.
So, the last few weeks on the X Factor have produced some interesting outfit choices. For my mind, Kelly still wins the most stylish award hands down, but Tulisa has sported some interesting and rather gorgeous looks herself, including a rather showstopping gown from Bruce Oldfield. Here is a rundown of the looks,with a few ‘get the look’ ideas. Last Saturday saw Kelly channelling an androgynous look in a Stella McCartney tuxedo and cigarette pants. Fashion and football make a perfect combination for Charity.
What do you get if you cross beautiful designer clothing from Harvey Nichols with a host of handsome footballers and their gorgeous Wags? A fantastic night of fashion and entertainment, that’s what! Premiere league club Wolverhampton Wanderers yesterday joined forces with Harvey Nichols, Birmingham to host a designer fashion show in aid of the Alzheimer’s Trust. This is one of the chosen charities of goalkeeper Matt Murray as part of his testimonial season. Matt persuaded fellow players including Richard Stearman, Karl Henry, George Elokobi and Matt Jarvis to join him on the catwalk, as well as former Wolves players Lee Naylor and Rob Edwards.
