Zatchels Pop Up shop opens in House of Fraser, Birmingham
Saturday saw the biggest fashion event on Birmingham’s social calender when Style Birmingham Live took place. There were fashion shows galore all over the city, and beauty events in most of the department stores. But by far the most anticipated event for handbag lovers was the launch of the Zatchels Pop Up Shop in House of Fraser.
Zatchels is one of the hottest brands around at the present time. Beloved by celebrities, these bags appeal to everyone from students to yummy mummy’s, with men also hooked on the more masculine satchel designs. I have my own Zatchels saddle bag and use it all the time, these bags are versatile, stylish and British Made, making them virtually irresistible in my eyes.
So a Pop Up shop in Birmingham was very exciting news. And the space looks just fantastic. A bright spot where the bags are shown to their best advantage against a stark white wall, the shop showcases a range of the current collections in many different sizes, shapes and colours. The Harmony collection is a real favourite, especially in the new metallic shades, whilst the classic polka dot design is well represented in monochrome and red and white versions. I must admit to feeling tempted to add to my saddle bag collection with the cherry red colour which is simply stunning, and…shall I say, rather Christmassy, whilst the traditional brown satchel shows the vintage origins of the collection.
Zatchels also gained a couple of new celebrity fans this weekend, as the very lovely TOWIE star Lydia Bright, who was in town to present the Bullring Enchanted show, was gifted with a Harmony satchel, whilst the newly married Martine McCutcheon was gifted a cream and chestnut Harmony satchel engraved with her married name, Mrs M McManus.
But it wasn’t just the lovely ladies who received gifts. Olympic gold medallist Greg Rutherford received a very apt Union Jack satchel, whilst Lydia’s other half, Tom Kilbey was gifted a stars and stripes Duffle Bag.
Make sure you pay a visit to this most fabulous of pop-up shops, but if you can’t get there…
