V festival fashion- who was top of the pops?
For many festivals have become as much about watching the fashion as about the music. In the case of this years V festival I can say it was probably more interesting. As someone who loves Oasis, Kasabian, The Killers, Strokes etc, I can say that guitar bands seem to be in short supply, and there was an awful lot of pop and R&B/Rap on the menu. But festival style seems to improve each year. Here are some of my favourites, both on and off the stage. Rihanna I loved that Rihanna flew the flag in this cute Union Jack crop top. She has the body to make anything look good,…

Benefit launching new beauty bar in Harvey Nichols,Birmingham.
Don’t you just love Benefit cosmetics! Where would we be without Benetint to add a bit of colour to our cheeks, or High Beam to highlight those (almost) non-existent cheekbones. For those of you who don’t know the brand, Benefit is a fabulously quirky collection of make-up and beauty must haves that come in the most amazing retro packaging that make them appear to have come direct from a 1950s make-up bag. They bring the fun into make-up, and from September 3rd, they will be available from Harvey Nichols, Birmingham, when a new Benefit bar is opened. This is great news for all beauty fans. Harvey Nichols already has…

This week has been a bumper one for Pippa Middleton watchers. She has been spotted out and about not once, but three times this week, and each time she has been wearing a great dress. Look 1 – The red cricket dress I speculated that this dress was possibly an high street design as Pippa is often spotted wearing dresses from the Higher end of the High street, like Whistles and Hobbs. But this pretty red dot design dress turned out to be from Issa! It seems that Daniella Hayalel never need to take out advertising again, because two of…

Little did I realise that many years later I would be coveting a leather satchel all over again – this time in a beautiful floral print, made by the fabulous British brand ‘Zatchels’. Zatchels launched 3 months ago in Leicester. The company sells beautiful leather satchels that are made to order. They come in all shapes, sizes, colours and patterns, from the classic brown that would make a perfect gift for a husband or boyfriend, to the really pretty, girlie patterns and colours like the lovely polka dot range that have…

Kate comes to Birmingham..and again wears McQueen.
Charles and Camilla visited London areas devastated by the riots, Prince Harry went to Manchester, but today Birmingham got the big guns, the ones we all want to see, when the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, aka William and Kate, visited areas affected by the riots last week. And Kate, as usual, looked amazing. Wearing Alexander McQueen, which seems to have become her design house of choice since the Royal wedding, Kate struck the right chord in looking stylish, but respectful in her dress. Royals rarely wear black, but as a private audience with the families of the three men so tragically killed whilst defending their community was part of the…
