Christmas shopping wrapped up – Ted Baker.
With the days to Christmas just flying by, I’m here with a few more shopping gems that any fashionista would be so pleased to find in their Christmas stocking. This time the focus is on Ted Baker, who have outdone themselves with a great accessory range that includes laptop bags, purses and cute clutch bags. These are items that will make great gifts for sisters, friends and yummy mummy’s, although I have my eye on the laptop bag. And for fans of the Wizard of Oz, there are the most beautiful pair of shoes that Dorothy would probably have killed 10 wicked witches to get too. So add these little…

Art Deco style – The Ultimate Christmas Wish List…
I don’t mind admitting that I am a real Art Deco girl. In my dream world my house would have a flat roof and geometric edges,my colour scheme would be black and White and all my jewels would have previously been owned by Wallis Simpson in the 1930s. I love the Chrysler building, the Hoover building, Saltdean Lido, The Electric Palace on the Portobello Road and every single bingo hall converted from an Art Deco cinema. In short, I’m in love with Art Deco. Which is great this season, when there are 1930s influences to be found on a whole range of clothing, accessories and gift ideas. Here then, is…

Duchess of Cambridge sparkles in sombre black
The Remembrance day service at the Cenotaph is hardly a fashion parade, but when the Duchess of Cambridge is making another public appearance, then her outfit is sure to be commented upon. Yesterday Kate took her place with the other royal ladies, and surprised fashion onlookers by opting to wear a beautiful coat by American designer Diane Von Furstenberg. Up until now, she has plumped for British designers and British High Street when on British soil, yet on this most important of occasions she chose to wear a foreign designer. Still, it had to be said that the coat, from a previous season, was beautiful, with a detachable fur collar…

In love with Lowie!
A few weeks ago I attended the Forward PR S/S press day and was introduced to the brand Lowie. Lowie are an ethical knitwear/handicraft brand, who will branch into organic cottons for Spring/Summer 2012. I fell in love with the Lowie brand and, in particular, the riviera style nautical prints that will make up a large portion of their S/S collection. Lowie was started by Bronwyn Lowenthal 10 years ago. Since then, she has taken the brand from small market stores to the shelves of luxury department store Liberty’s. Lowie’s emphasis is handicrafts, bringing the likes of hand-knitting, crochet, hand-embroidery and hand-stitching into the 21st century as they are incorporated…

Pearl Lowe’s latest drop for Peacocks
With echoes of vintage Hollywood glamour, and the usual attention to flattering the figure, Pearl Lowe’s latest drop for Peacocks, which arrived this week, is her best yet. Modelled by daughter Daisy, this collection is choked full of elegant evening dresses and beautiful party dresses that make it perfect for the festive season. There are full length dresses that have a real 1930s feel, and then 50s silhouettes in red lace and black velvet. I absolutely love all of these dresses, but particularly have my eye on the black velvet 50s gown with the crochet style back. Pearl says of the collection;- “My Christmas collection is inspired by my favourite…
