Put on your dancing shoes…it’s party season!
Recently the Next blogger network asked bloggers to choose their favourite pair of shoes from their rather vast, and totally fabulous collection. I browsed long and hard, weighing up the pros and cons of each pair of shoes, and changing my mind every few minutes, before deciding on the ultimate pair of party shoes for Fashion-Mommy. And so, ladies and gentlemen, I unveil my pick of the Next party shoes, the ivory bow back court shoes! So why did I choose these? Well firstly it would’ve been too easy to plump for black or Santa red options, and these ivory beauties have a distinctly snowy feel to them. Secondly, they…

Winter’s all wrapped up with New Look’s Iconic Styles.
For the first time this morning I have woken up and felt cold. I am suddenly facing the urge to go out shopping and buy hats, scarves and gloves…and maybe even a new coat. I’m not really a winter person, and so to me the only plus point to winter is the fabulous excuse to buy warm and snug clothing. There are lots of great items on the High Street at the moment, and many stores are having a pre-Christmas sale. New Look is one such store, with up to an amazing 50% off many of its key items. Fashion Mommy meets Cesar Santos for a Giorgio Armani masterclass.
It was a foregone conclusion what my answer would be when I received an email asking whether I would like to experience a Giorgio Armani make-up masterclass with their international face designer Cesar Santos. The opportunity to drink Champagne, be treated to a wonderful make-over and experience the benefit of Cesar’s expert knowledge was a chance far too good to pass up. So last Thursday I travelled into Birmingham for a lesson in creating the perfect face. And I was placed firmly into the hands of a master. Cesar Santos has created looks for some of the World’s most famous faces, including Penelope Cruz and Kim Cattrell. More recently, he…

Have a look at what Ellos have to offer.
As a long-time fan of La Redoute, I must admit to being a little bit ignorant when details of Ellos dropped into the inbox. I didn’t know that La Redoute had a sister, so I was really eager to take a look at what sort of things were on offer. What I found is a company that is Sweden’s number one mail-order brand with a very similar ethos to La Redoute in terms of quality and price -i.e the first is kept high even though the second is low. Browsing through the brand I made a mental wish list of a whole host of items, including trend led pieces and…

Made in Chelsea Caggie – an update
Since writing my last piece about Made in Chelsea, I have been overwhelmed by the interest in the trio of girls that I featured, but in particular the interest in Caggie Dunlop. Everyone seems to want to know where this girl gets her clothes from, or how they can get the Caggie look. I have also been emailed by companies suggesting their products for those who want Caggie’s style. So, here is a quick update on the Caggie look book. The gorgeous Grecian style dress that Caggie is wearing in the picture above is a High Street find from Mango. It is still available in sizes 8,10 and 12. This…
