Yesterday I blogged about a fabulous beauty event I had attended in Birmingham before Easter, and today I’m blogging about the pretty gorgeous dress that I wore to the event. It is another piece from High Street Outlet, which means it is another dress that is both lovely and an absolute bargain. Beauty Confidential at House of Fraser
Just before I took some time off for an Easter Break, I attended an event at Birmingham’s House of Fraser (which I still affectionately know as Rackhams!). The event was Beauty Confidential, which promised to be an evening of demonstrations, great Beauty and fragrance discounts, and all round beauty fun. There were some great promotions going on throughout the store. Bobbi Brown were giving 5 minute smokey eyes sessions or the 15 minute secret to smokey skin. Chanel were indulging guests with a flash lip make-over with the iconic Rouge Coco, and there were complimentary samples available with every purchase. Men’s style focus – cardigans
I can remember the days when a man would rather freeze than wear a cardigan. It was the in the days when my grandad(bless him) had a rather nifty collection that combined patterns, zips and over-sized lapels. The days when Val Doonican sat in a rocking chair, sporting a comfy knit and crooned his heart out. Cardigans were warm, they were functional, but they certainly were not fashion. Basil Brush is back – Check out the Full on Fox Tour
If you are looking for some fun, family entertainment then I would highly recommend you check out The Basil Brush show that is currently in the middle of a UK tour. We saw the show today at the Lichfield Garrick (which is definitely one of the friendliest theatre’s in the UK), and we all truly enjoyed it, with belly laughs a-plenty and Basil proving he has lost non of his wit and charm after 50 years in show business. Reviewed – Kiera PU midi skirt from Boohoo
Boohoo.com are having a rather busy Spring. As well as launching a very successful new collection with the uber gorgeous Nadia Aboulhosn (which you can read about here), the main Boohoo plus collection continues to grow in strength and style. It has everything, including skirts in mini, midi, maxi and skater lengths. My current favourite from the collection is the Kiera midi skirt in faux leather style.
