Fashion: Summer Prints, Seaside Prints

When the weather improves and the sun makes an appearance, I love to check out the new prints available on the High Street. There has definitely been a new pattern that seems to have occurred in the last few years when it comes to Summer prints. For although the perennial stripes and spots remain as popular as ever, there have definitely been some new prints on the block.

The new print definitely has a classic seaside feel. This can be linked to pretty crab and lobster prints and maps and Riviera style scenes that look great on dresses and skirts (think 1950’s Roman Holiday style dressing). Shells, fishes, mermaids and even full beach scenes are all popular, and have been everywhere on the High Street, from Oliver Bonas to New Look and H&M.

If you invested in these prints over the last few years then well done you. A quick search on Vinted will show that items with these vibrant prints, as well as fruit prints, are selling very quickly, and commanding decent prices, even when they are preloved and worn. If you have changed your mind about an item, you will certainly be able to get your money back for it, especially if it is in good condition.
