Charity Shop, Vinted And Vintage Buys

It’s been a while since my last look at the bargains you can find in Charity shops and on Vinted, so in this post, I am collating some of the things I have either bought myself, or, at the very least, have seen on my travels over the Summer. It has to be said, there have been some great thrifty buys this Summer.

I have noticed that a lot of the really great finds this Summer have been accessories – lots of really good quality handbags from brands like Dune, Orla Kiely and even a vintage St Michael label straw bag complete with original tags (I’m thinking this in a 90’s edition). There have also been some really lovely pieces of jewellery – I tend to wear a lot more costume jewellery in the Summer, and there have been so many great pieces that totally fit the bill, some of which have also been new with tags. (The River Island earrings were one of just of many pairs I found in the same shop on that day.)

As ever, Charity shops really need your donations, so if you are having a sort this Summer, let your local Charity know and find out what they are looking for. For instance, a charity shop that I support, Acorns in Wednesbury, have recently been looking for gents clothing, shoes and bags and toys and teddies, so this could be an ideal opportunity to cull and sort your things and do a good deed into the bargain.
