Even though the school holidays have only just begun, and most of us seem to be basking in warm sunshine as I write, in fashion terms we are now looking to the new season, with the Autumn lines already beginning to appear in some stores and online. This week the focus turns to Boden, who are welcoming Autumn/Winter 2014 with the introduction of another, very English collection that once again (because I do seem to say this about Boden a lot) seems to be pulling influences from fashion days gone by. Jaeger A/W Press Day – Raiding the Archives
When a company is celebrating 130 years in business, it is a fair bet to say that their archives would be rich in quality and style, and totally ripe for modern re-invention. That is the story that was on display at the Jaeger A/W press day that took place last month in a rather lovely part of London. Jaeger had decided to look ‘back to the future’ for its latest collections, finding key pieces from the past, and then tweaking the designs for 21st century sensibilities.
