#FanDayFriday – A trip to Cadbury World
This week I had the pleasure of spending a fabulous family day at Cadbury World. One of the foremost family attractions in Birmingham, Cadbury World is a unique mix of history, heritage and fun attractions, all with the added attraction of chocolate, lots of chocolate. There really could only be one choice of topic for this week’s #FanDayFriday. Cadbury World is great value for money in comparison to other theme parks and attractions, with a family ticket costing just under £60 for 2 adults and 3 children. On a beautiful day you are able to enjoy the rather wonderful adventure playground, which caters for all ages, with slides and rope…

The Glenn Miller Story at The New Alex Theatre – Thoroughly Entertaining
For a night packed with unforgettable songs, a lead character that is both iconic and the subject of one of the most enduring mysteries of the 2oth Century, and for the chance to watch a real living legend still exuding his charm and personality in his 80th year, you must catch The Glenn Miller Story, which is currently at the New Alex Theatre with the legendary Tommy Steele in the lead role. Rent is the story of a group of artistic bohemians living in East Village, New York during the early 1990s. The talented bunch include a dancer (Mimi), a film-maker (Mark), a guitarist and lead singer (Roger), a transsexual woman (Angel) and a teacher turned anarchist (Tom Collins). They live an impoverished existence and, in the case of Mimi, Collins and Roger,…

Guys and Dolls at the Wolverhampton Grand
When it comes to musical theatre, Guys and Dolls is a bonafide American classic. Inspired by the betting and gambling side of New York City that spilled from the pen of the great Damon Runyan, Guys and Dolls is a world where every man is, on the surface at least, a no-good heel, and every woman is a doll, a dame, a broad, but it is also warm and funny, and ultimately a love story where true love does conquer all. The latest touring production opened at the Wolverhampton Grand Theatre last night and proved that its power to entertain and enchant audiences shows no signs of flagging. It was,…

You take a classic film, get the perfect cinema snacks – the Popcorn, the Pringles, the fizzy drinks and a group of your favourite people, and you enjoy all the fun of the cinema in your own home.
