Bingo Helps You Indulge in Some Sinful Cravings of Yours – Here’s How
Quite sometime back I wrote a post on what I would simply love buying if I won a lottery. The list included some of my favourite things, like a walk-in wardrobe, a whole lot of shoes and some lustful handbags presented by Paula Reed at Harvey Nichols. Well trust me, I am still in love with everything pretty and I wish I could grab all those lustful cravings of mine in one go. But alas! to buy exactly what I desire I would need big pots of money at my disposal and that’s where I falter. Of course, as I said in my previous blog, if I could win the…

Rudy’s Rare Records brings The Rep to its feet
A midweek standing ovation is a pretty rare thing, but that is what the hilarious ‘Rudy’s Rare Records’ got at the Birmingham Repertory Theatre last night. The superb comedy starring Lenny Henry had audiences on their feet with its mixture of warmth, laughter and Reggae, and is probably the only play I have ever seen where I have wished I had tickets for the following night. Yes, it is that good. Rudy’s Rare Records tells the tale of a dusty, musty record shop in Birmingham that has seen better and busier days, and is now under threat from developers who are buying up the street it stands on. Rudy, an…

Moshi Monsters Weekend at The Sea Life Centre
One of my family’s favourite, all-weather attractions to visit in Birmingham is the National Sea Life Centre in Brindley Place. Home to all manner of deep-sea creatures, from Sharks to Stingrays, and all sorts of truly beautiful and unusual fish, the Sea Life Centre is the ideal place to add to your Summer Holiday must visit list, offering education and a whole lot of fun. This Summer the attraction is even more exciting due to the arrival of the Moshi Monsters. Katsuma, Poppet and Monstro City’s number one Moshling conservationist, Buster Bumblechops, are on a mission to save the amazing marine creatures that are housed in the Sea Life Centre,…

An Afternoon Picnic at The Balcony, Selfridges
Ever since I attended the opening party of The Balcony restaurant in Selfridges, Birmingham, last December, I have been itching to try out the Afternoon Picnic. The restaurant, part of the Searcy’s group, had shown guests their take on a traditional afternoon tea, but due to consumer copious amounts of food and scrummy cocktails on the night, I had not been able to sample any of the delights on offer. This was something I knew I had to put right. So last Friday I took myself off the iconic Bullring Birmingham store with one of my favourite blogging ladies, the gorgeous Miss Emily Jayne, to sample the delights of an…

Bandai Toys – More from the Power Rangers
Last year I wrote a review of some of the fab toys from the Power Rangers range that were enjoying a resurgence in popularity due to a new TV series. The review proved to be very popular and showed that since the 1990s, Power Rangers had never really disappeared from the hearts and minds of kids young, and not so young. The lovely people at Bandai have recently sent Joe some more of the range for review. As a huge Power Rangers fan he was very excited to receive some of the role play items, as well as a couple of the action figures. Power Rangers Megaforce Basic Ranger Training…
