Celebrity High Street Style featuring Cheska Hull, Una Healy and Caggie Dunlop
It’s time for another celebrity style round-up, this one featuring style from the High Street and online that is totally affordable for anyone who wants to ‘get the look’. There is just so much good stuff on the High Street at the moment that it is no wonder that some fashion obsessed celebs have found it very easy to step away from the designer labels in order to embrace a more affordable style. Here are some of the top spots from the last few months.
Gemma Cairney in Nelly.
Gemma Cairney was the celebrity DJ at the Nelly launch, so it is not surprising that she sported a very pretty strapless dress from the brand on the evening. What is surprising is the price of this dress, you can now pick this up for just £20, which makes it a total bargain as this is a dress that you could wear into the next season by adding opaque tights and a cropped tuxedo style jacket.
Next up is Lydia Bright. I don’t have a picture for you, but in last weeks Reveal magazine, Lydia was wearing this very elegant nude dress from Dorothy Perkins. There is something very Audrey Hepburn about this dress which I think could be accessorised simply with black stilettos.
There was a lot of praise for the Gatsby-esque dress that Lydia wore to the Baftas. This was from her own boutique, Bella Sorella, but the pretty vintage looking clutch bag she was carrying was from the High Street. This bag is from New Look, and is currently in stock, costing less than £20.
Catherine Tydesley from Coronation Street is another lady embracing cool High Street style. This dress may look like it has come from the design studio of Peter Pilloto, but it is actually from AX Paris. This is the perfect dress it up, dress it down maxi dress, whether worn with flip-flops a la Catherine, or cage style heels for a dressier look.
Now it’s off to TOWIE, where the girls and boys have recently been seen in the sunnier climate of Marbs! One of Billie Faiers choices was this very pretty floral peplum dress from current hot label LOVE. Billie wore hers with a pair of towering ultra wedges (which I love!), but this could be worn with sandals for a more casual daytime look.
Another lady who wowed at the Baftas was Made in Chelsea starlet Cheska Hull. She looked dazzling in an Anoushka G gown with embellished waistband and shoulders. This dress is available from House of Fraser, and is currently reduced. It would actually make a fabulous wedding gown.
Una Healy is looking frankly amazing at the moment, and is proving to be a big fan of Olivia Rubin’s collection for Dorothy Perkins. This is one of my favourite collaborations of recent times, especially the maxi dress Una is wearing below. I think she looks fantastic in this dress, which is in a jersey style fabric, so perfect for moms who are bending down to change nappies, or just want to throw something on quickly.
Caggie Dunlop may have left Made In Chelsea, but her style is still something that attracts a lot of attention. An example of this is the stunning watered silk gown from Austique, that is now available at London Boutiques for £395. A definite investment buy, but you will wear this forever.
