Charli XCX and Boohoo – latest Drop
Since she first burst onto the music scene with the extremely catchy ‘Boom Clap’, Charlie XCX has proved to be a fashion maven like no other. Her style is quirky and original, pulling ideas from a range of sources including the 1990s and early Year 2k styling, the Spice Girls at there glorious peak and the punkish edge of Courtney Love and Sioxsie Sioux. Charli has her own style and doesn’t really give a hoot for best dressed lists and minimalism.
Charli XCX – Quirky Style
This week has seen the launch of her second collection in collaboration with Boohoo. As with the first collection, this won’t be for everyone, but I personally love the boldness of the styles, the emphasis on a white palette (is there ever a better colour to combine with your summer tan – fake or real?), and beautiful accents of sparkle and shimmer, with a little lace thrown in for good measure.
Being Boohoo, the prices are amazing, and some pieces are already proving to be very popular just one day since the launch. The white lace bandeau is already sold out in many sizes, but this is also available in black. This is a stunning piece that I think would look amazing with shorts at a summer festival, and should definitely be packed in your holiday suitcase. Another piece I really love is the off the shoulder bodycon dress in denim styling. I can already see this piece teamed with a straw cowboy hat and tan sandals for a must have summer look.

I love the jumpsuit, though myself not being very tall I’m not sure I could carry it off. I really admire Charli XCX for her unique spin on fashion. Best to be an individual. Tx
