Clarks Dollar Tango take us dancing into Autumn

The very lovely people at Clarks helped me to celebrate my second blog birthday in style by offering to send me a wonderful pair of shoes.  I had already expressed my lust for a certain pair in a shoe post, so it was a very easy choice to make. I chose the Dollar Tango heels, and if I was in lust from viewing them on a website, then I am now totally in love with them. In short, these shoes are just perfect!

The Dollar Tango shoes hark back to the wonderful style of the 1920s and 1930s. These were the days when the flapper styles heralded a new freedom for woman, and the Dollar Tango’s black patent and suede textures, along with the gorgeous tie front and toddle detail, made me think of the days of Clara Bow and Louise Brooks.  But what I really love about these shoes is just how comfortable they are to wear. They contain a hidden platform, which means the heel isn’t quite as unforgiving as it might appear. And they also contain cushioned softwear inside the shoe which cushions the foot, making these shoes comfortable to wear all day long.

Again and again, Clarks seems to produce a perfect pair of shoes that are just THE shoe for the new season, and I am just besotted with the Dollar Tango, which are glamorous and eye-catching, but with that Clarks practicality that the company have become known for. These shoes are chic, glossy and glamorous, and I will be wearing them all through the up coming season and beyond. Hurray for Clarks, yet again!
