Cotton Traders Loved BY Jasmine Collection
If you are a fan of daytime television, you are probably a fan of ‘A Place In The Sun, and of its gorgeous presenter, Jasmine Harman. Jasmine is the queen of holiday dressing, no matter how hot and humid, she always looks cool, collected and utterly perfect, with an enviable holiday wardrobe of pretty dresses and skirts, in the prettiest of colours. Now, Jasmine is transferring her know-how to curating her latest key picks for Cotton Traders, and I have picked my favourite pieces from Jasmine’s ‘Loved By Jasmine‘ edit.
The Printed Crinkle Maxi Dress
The Printed Crinkle Maxi Dress might just be the prettiest, most perfect Summer dress you will see all Summer. It is absolutely gorgeous. The dress is in what Cotton Traders describe as ‘forgiving crinkle fabric’, and this is absolutely true, it will not look terrible if you wear it straight from the suitcase, and it is cool and flattering too. The back of the dress is elasticated for comfort, but having a cumberband style waistband gives this a definite style and structure.
I love the thicker shoulder straps which conceal your bra straps, and the fact that this dress is the ‘Holy Grail’ of dresses in that it has pockets! The print is so soft and feminine, and has a slight boho feel to it which makes it feel like a timeless design that you can wear for years.
It is also a great day for dressing up or down. Wear it with a pair of tan sandals and a straw bag on holiday, or try it with a wedge heel and a denim jacket for a cooler day. (I was out for Sunday Lunch and a trip to the Hollybush Garden Centre so I add a Vinted bag, and a pair of Vivaia shoes).
Printed Button Maxi Skirt
The Printed Button Maxi Skirt from the ‘Loved By Jasmine’ range is a really easy to wear piece. It has a flat front, with an elasticated back for comfort, and a false button design on the front of the skirt. The fabric is lightweight, in a viscose that feels luxurious, and I love the print, that is a sort of animal print, which makes it look great with a range of neutral colours- khaki, beige, white, black and brown.
I love how Jasmine has styled it for cooler days with a sweater and pumps, I was wearing it on a warmer day, so added a slash neck vest top and ballerina flats.
On the same day I was lucky enough to meet Strictly Come Dancing’s Johannes Radebe in Birmingham, and was wearing the same skirt but with a military style jacket.
