Cotton Traders Wool-Look Unlined Coat Reviewed
The coming of Spring doesn’t mean that we are ready to completely ditch the coats just yet, but it does mean that we can opt for something lighter in both weight and colour. Cotton Traders, who have a brilliant range all ready for Spring, have some fabulous coats and jackets that are just perfect for brighter, but still cold days, in colours that will bring a little colour into your life.
The Wool-look unlined coat is one of the Cotton Traders statement pieces for Spring 2024. It has been heavily featured in the pale rose version as it has been worn by brand ambassador Alex Jones in a photo campaign, but it also comes in a rather gorgeous soft shade colour, which is the one I have been wearing.
The Wool look unlined coat is just gorgeous. It has both the look and feel of soft wool, but is in a lighter fabric than wool, which means it is perfect for Spring. It has a smart, tailored look, with waist darts to give it a neat shape. The shape is almost a Crombie style, which is my favourite sort of coat, bordering on a unisex style, but given a feminine edge with the soft pastel colours it comes in.
This is not quite knee length, so I do think it works better when teamed with trousers, either jeans for a more casual look, or a tapered or peg style for a more formal look. That said, it could also look great worn over a mini skirt/dress for a night out. It has a collar that can be worn either up or down, and the neckline lends itself well if you want to add a scarf on cooler days. The design has two large buttons for fastening, but it also looks casual and stylish if you choose to wear it with the buttons open.
I teamed this coat with black jeans and a white blouse for a simple look, and have shown it with the collar both up and down. I love the feel of the coat, it is just so soft, and works well with so many different looks. It is such a classic, stylish look that you will be reaching for it for years to come.
