Reviewed: Lovall Coated Jeans
Jeans have come a long way since their first inception as a form of hard wearing work wear. In recent years they have become an integral part of our wardrobes for both everyday wear, and for evening wear, simply by changing how we have styled them. In recent years, the coated jean has become very popular, giving a more rock chick edge to your jeans as they now resemble leather trousers, albeit at a fraction of the price.
Lovall (formally Love Leggings) have recently created what I would call the perfect pair of coated jeans. These are a classic black design, and are an actual jean rather than jeggings, having a zip and fly fastening. These are a skinny fit and look amazing, whether you are teaming them with trousers and a sweatshirt for every day wear, or dressing them up as a twist on the classic 90’s staple ‘jeans and a nice top’.
The coated jeans from Lovall are a brilliant stretch denim that simply mould themselves to your body, making them ultra flattering. They are fairly high rise which allows you to escape the muffin top that I hate with lower rise jeans, and have front and back pockets that add just another touch of style, and are essential for those of us who love pockets on everything.
I find these coated jeans really easy to wear. They are comfortable and true to size, and are really easy to wear with pretty much anything in your wardrobe, from a simple white blouse or shirt for a classic monochrome look, a sweater or sweatshirt for colder days, and a camisole when the weather turns warmer. The tight ankle design makes them perfect if you want to layer you midi or knee high boots over them, but they look just as great with a heel, a ballerina flat, or a pair of trainers.
These are great coated jeans that come in a brilliant range of sizes that start from size 6 and go up to a size 28, making them a super inclusive fashion item. They also come in three leg lengths, petite, regular and tall. I am wearing the regular length, and sized up to a size 18, but these are a little big on my waste and bottom (hence the belt) so I would say that you should stick to your regular size as they are a really roomy, comfortable fit.
If you are looking for comfortable basics, then you should definitely check out Lovall.
