An Oversized Chunky Knit Hoodie From Lovall

When the weather starts to turn decidedly colder, I look for clothes that feel like you are wearing a hug. The oversized chunky knit hoodie from Lovall fits the bill exactly. This is something that is perfect for your downtime, whether lounging around the house, wearing with jeans for to watch football, or even for layering up for a trip to a Christmas market. This is the one thing this Christmas that you should gift to yourself as you are so worth it. You may remember Lovall as Love Leggings, and they have now added to their brilliant leggings with a range of lounge wear, basics and pyjamas.

So what makes this item so special. Well, honestly, it’s a question of where to start. First there is the fact that this is so cuddly, the 50% Nylon, 33% Acrylic, 17% Polyester mix makes this a really warm and cosy knitted fabric, and the fact it only needs to be washed at 30 degrees is another brilliant positive, because you will be wearing this, a lot! Then there is the shape. This is is meant to be worn oversized, so if you choose your true size it will be slightly baggy, and not at all clingy. You can, of course, opt for a more snug fit by going down a size, but this sort of defeats the object of having something that is made to be lounge and casual.

The lovely, neutral beige colour makes this perfect to be teamed with pretty much any colour and style – black leggings or jeans, or a neutral jogging bottom. The slightly overlong fit makes this really perfect for wearing with leggings in fact, whilst the hood just adds another touch of cosy and is also adjustable, helping you avoid having one of those styles that either swamps your head or completely falls off.

I teamed my hoodie with a pair of blue skinny jeans, and think black skinnies would work as well too. I wore brown suede boots and a cross body bag. This was for a trip to the shops and it felt comfortable, and I think it looked pretty cool too, sort of understated. I was wearing the size 16-18 and this was very roomy, so it would be easy to wear it layered over a long sleeved top or t-shirt.
