Reviewed: The Perfect Ballerina Pump From Bloch

What do you consider to be the ultimate in iconic shoes? Anything by Louboutin with that famous red sole? Maybe a stacked wedge heel from Terry Di Haviland, the rock and roll cobbler? Would you choose a Doc Marten Boot maybe, a Clarks desert boot, or would it just be a classic black stilletto heel? I think all of these have a good shout of iconic shoe status, but they would all be given a good run for their money by the classic ballerina pump.

From Kate Moss to Audrey Hepburn, by way of Princess Diana, and Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction, the humble ballerina pump is a favourite of the most stylish ladies of all time. Elegant, comfortable, utterly feminine, and yet something you can often walk a mile in, ballet pumps are an item that appears in most wardrobes. One of the reasons for this is the sole, with its cushioned teardrop heel that has a padded detail that is so comfortable for your heel – it is almost like wearing a pair of slippers – they are just that comfortable. The pretty pink and black shade is perfect for Spring.
