As we head into late Summer, Lighthouse have pieces that are just perfect for the current, very changeable weather. Here are some of my fave pieces from the current collection. Many pieces are now in the sale, so are definitely worth a look.

Lola Blouse – Summer Floral

The Lola blouse is a super pretty design with the loveliest of Summer flowers as the featured print. It is a lightweight viscose fabric that is both cool, and yet with a luxurious feel, with pretty cuffed 3/4 sleeves and a frilled neckline with a tie detail.

The length of this top makes it ideal to wear either loose and flowing in a boho style, but it is also long enough to be tucked in with a French tuck for a more streamlined, formal styling.

I teamed my Lola blouse with a pair of khaki cotton/linen blend shorts and black sliders for a late Summer look, and I have to say I do think the blouse looks great with shorts, as well as the jeans you can see on the Lighthouse website. I would wear this with jeans once the days become cooler so that it will work as an Autumn look too.

Ariana Tee – Orange Pink Stripe

Lighthouse Ariana t-shirts are just wonderful. They come in a gorgeous stretch cotton jersey and a brilliant range of cute stripe colourways that make them perfect for wearing with shorts, jeans or a denim skirt.

I love the orange pink stripe design which I think is a colour clash that really works well. The neckline is a v, but it is not too deep to make this all about the cleavage, but instead is gentle to make the look flattering rather than revealing.

I wear my Ariana t-shirt with a pretty broderie anglais skirt that you can read about here and I think it works well for sunny days, but again you can see this worn with a denim jacket over the top once we hit Autumn. I am wearing a size 16 in this top and this is a really comfortable fit, so I would say that it is true to size.
